Criticality is a North Carolina-based agricultural hemp company that takes a science-based approach to the extraction, refinement and formulation of high-quality cannabidiol (CBD) products. We are led by an CBD experts, extraction and purification professionals, and experienced agricultural hemp producers. We have a rich heritage of working with agricultural products and farmers across multiple countries for more than 100 years, as well as more than 25 years in the extraction and purification industry. Our products are produced in food-grade facilities following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to our products are safe, pure, and consistent.
Criticality partners with a network of carefully vetted family farmers to produce superior hemp plants that adhere to all state and federal guidelines. Criticality sources the vast majority of its hemp from local, North Carolina hemp farmers. Our team works hand-in-hand with our farmers, visiting their farms on a weekly basis to advise and inspect. All Criticality farmers must follow State-mandated testing and certifications processes, as well as providing Criticality with third-party certificates of authentication for the plant’s mother stock and the post-harvest material. To protect the integrity of the product and ensure compliance with transportation regulations, Criticality requires growers to follow strict transport logistics protocols.
We provide unparalleled transparency into the production of our industrial hemp and CBD products. Criticality’s track-and-trace technology provides complete transparency into lifecycle of our products, from before it’s planted until you hold it in your hand, providing consumers assurance that are receiving the highest-quality, sustainable product. We document all information and data related to the growth, cultivation, harvest, processing and final production of individual batches of our products. By providing unique identifiers to each of Criticality’s farmers and their crops, the company’s track and trace process allows it to monitor all information and data prior to planting all the way through individual batches of product.
We employ proprietary, environmentally-friendly, bio-pharmaceutical grade process, supercritical fluid extraction (SFE), to separate CBD oil from plant material. This all-natural and solvent-free process ensures Criticality’s products are pure and able to deliver the full benefits CBD has to offer. Criticality production facilities follow Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
All of Criticality’s products are subject to rigorous testing and analysis to ensure safety, purity, and consistency. We analyze and validate all raw materials for cannabinoid levels and potential chemical, microbial and heavy metal contaminants from the growing process. After the verified material is processed, it’s subjected to same forms analysis and validation, as well as tests purity and consistency.
We believe in delivering healthy products, free of contaminants such as pesticides, heavy metals and microbiological contamination. We don’t ever want to bring them into any of our processing steps only to hopefully take them out later. We stand by our products and our deliver what we say we deliver. Products should be labeled accurately and thoroughly so consumers understand what they are taking.
Independent testing laboratories use a form of analytical chromatography to test for CBD and THC levels, as well as other minor cannabinoids. Chromatography is a technique for separating the constituents of a mixture into its individual components, so the individual components can be quantified and analyzed.
All of our products are made from industrial hemp. We do not use marijuana. Our products comply with the 2014 Farm Bill and contain less than 0.3% THC. Certain products are THC-free and have non-detectable limits. Products with less than 0.3% THC have been shown to not have psychotropic effects.
As with any wellness product, we recommend that you consult your physician to address your specific health condition, especially if you are taking medication, have a medical condition, are pregnant or are lactating.
The 2014 Farm Bill enabled the growing and marketing of industrial hemp in all 50 states and gave each state the right to implement its own industrial hemp program to regulate the growing, processing and marketing of hemp. The laws of each state are different, so the answer to the question of whether it is legal is not as simple and straightforward as it should be. Hemp-derived CBD is legal in most states. Furthermore, Congress prohibits federal agencies from interfering with the interstate sale of authorized products under the 2014 Farm Bill.
All of Criticality’s products are derived from industrial hemp – the cultivation of which was authorized in the 2014 Farm Bill – under license from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
Hemp and Marijuana are both part of the Cannabis family but are completely different in their function, cultivation and application. Marijuana contains high THC (5%-35%) and is a psychoactive; hemp contains low THC (<0.3%) and is used across industries in health and natural food products, supplements , skin products, clothing, accessories, and a multitude of other uses.
The body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of receptors throughout the human body and helps regulate physiological and cognitive processes, including pain sensation, appetite, memory and mood. The ECS works with naturally-occurring cannabinoids in your body. There are two primary external cannabinoids, CBD and THC, and over 60 additional minor cannabinoids found in plant and other natural sources. CBD, the primary cannabinoid found in industrial hemp, works to promote the ECS and help promote balance and wellbeing.
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a naturally-occurring, non-psychoactive phyto-cannabinoid (plant-derived) and one of many cannabinoids found in hemp. This link shows the chemistry information about CBD: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/cannabidiol
CBD affects the body through its interaction with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which influences mood, appetite, sleep, hormone production, and even nervous and immune system responses.
We currently offer bulk hemp oil and CBD, custom hemp product manufacturing and private labeling of consumer products.
